Although our Summer Basketball Program is open to both boys and girls, the Winter Basketball Program is currently only open to boys. All players looking to sign up for the Shea’s YBA Winter Basketball Program, must be no younger than 12 and no older than 15 as of September 1, 2017.
Filling out the form below is the first step in the sign-up process. Once a form is submitted and received, a representative from our organization will reply within 48 hours, letting you know that your form has been received, and informing you on the status of your child’s eligibility – it will say eligible, ineligible, or on the waiting list. Additionally, the representative will give you options of dates to schedule your child to one of our mandatory Lend a Hand Program community service projects.
Shea’s Youth Basketball Association offers free services to each and every participant of the program, assuming they do their community service. Participants that have completed their “Lend a Hand” community service project prior to the Shea’s YBA “Draft” on Saturday, December 2nd, will not be required to leave a $50 deposit for the winter basketball program. Those who have not completed their community service will be required to leave a $50 deposit, although they will have the opportunity to receive a refund once the community service requirement is fulfilled. Following the completed service hours, parents/guardians may claim their deposit at any point between March 1 and July 1. If we do not hear from the affected parties by then, it will be handled as a donation.
